SBB Accountants & Adviseurs uses AI on the renewed online platform mySBB

From 2026, companies will only be allowed to send and receive invoices among themselves via e-invoicing. Many companies are not waiting for this and are already focusing on extensive digitization. In the meantime, SBB is expanding its online customer platform mySBB. With the integration of artificial intelligence. With this, the company is far ahead of its time and wants to further unburden its customers by also providing tailor-made advice to the connected customers via the portal.

"Digitization has always been our priority," says Davy Haesen, director of ICT-CIO at SBB. "It reduces the mountain of paper and increases our efficiency. Also and especially for our customers. Through our tools sbbSLIM and sbbFACT, our customers can upload invoices and receipts and send out invoices, quotations and order forms. But now we are taking it a step further with the renewal of our mySBB platform. We integrate intelligence into the platform so that entrepreneurs receive tailor-made advice based on data in their file. Think of the depreciation of a company car that is about to expire. As an entrepreneur, you want to be aware of this in advance so that you have enough time to weigh your options and lease or purchase a new car. Moreover, the platform will also be learning, so that the system can improve itself, of course through the input that our employees and experts bring in."

Initially, the digital platform will be refreshed with a renewed design and improved user experience. There will be frequent new releases with new functionalities, including AI-driven advice, and we will increasingly integrate communication between our customers and accountants and advisors. SBB's ambitions for the online platform mySBB are therefore high.

As business coaches, our employees offer personal advice to our customers. mySBB allows us to provide even more proactive advice. This advice stems on the one hand from the personal knowledge of our employees, and on the other hand from the AI data that we collect and analyse.

"We want to remain a trendsetter. We recognize that digitization offers many advantages, and of course can also entail dangers, but we are prepared for that. Our customers also expect us to unburden them and to provide them with proactive advice. Advice that they can use. Reducing the administrative burden is an important element, but it is no longer the first thing we think of in our renewed platform. We have already reduced this administrative burden with our previous tools, which are integrated into mySBB. What really helps customers is advice based on their figures, their results. And if we can contribute to this through artificial intelligence, we will be the first to apply it. In this way, we as SBB set the tone. That's what you can expect from a company that has 600 employees and 23,000 customers," concludes Raf Dom.
